Also referred to as Caustic Soda Liquor at various concentrations, It is a highly corrosive and a strong alkaline. It is used as a heavy-duty cleaning agent, used to clean process equipment, tanks, pipes and containers where it acts as a strong degreaser, de-scaler and pH adjuster. It is also found in a majority of commercial drain and professional-grade oven cleaners.
