Sodium Hypochlorite produced throughout the world goes into the manufacture of janitorial bleaches and laundry additives, this chemical is also used for various other industrial applications including non-pesticidal agricultural chemicals, paper and pulp manufacture, corrosion inhibitors, functional fluids in closed systems plus various other processing aids.

In swimming pools, sodium hypochlorite is used to treat and control bacteria and algae. This product reacts with pool water to create hypochlorous acid – a weak acid but strong oxidiser which possesses excellent antimicrobial properties.
